As regards to touristic level, Roquetas de Mar has three continuous but differentiated areas that offer visitors everything they need to enjoy a perfect holiday.
Roquetas de Mar. Art and culture.
It is the main town. It is located between Aguadulce and the Urbanization. A good option is to walk through the streets to enjoy the daily life of its inhabitants.
Besides its beaches, the town of Roquetas de Mar offers visitors many opportunities for leisure, shopping, culture and relaxation.
There are a big shopping centre “Gran Plaza”, an Auditorium, the Santa Ana’s Castle, the Lighthouse of Roquetas de Mar, the marina and the fishing port of Roquetas de Mar. We should not forget to mention the Bull ring, the Museum, the water park and the aquarium.
In addition, Roquetas offers a wide variety of modern and typical cuisine.
The Urbanization. Tourism: an international language.
The Urbanization has become a major tourist centre open throughout the year. The main attraction of Roquetas consists of more than 3,000 hours of sunlight per year and its large expanse of coastline with beaches of clean waters which attracts thousands of visitors each year.
It is classified as a major tourist centre in terms of providing all kinds of quality services that meet the needs of visitors and where everything is designed to make a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
The activity is maintained throughout the year, even in winter, when tourism in Europe goes to this corner, which is allied with the sun, to live in an eternal spring.
In the Urbanization we have plenty of hotel rooms, the Urbanization beach, Serena Beach, Cerrillos Beach (Punta Entinas-Sabinar Natural Park), golf courses, sports facilities, companies of water activities and many shops international restaurants.
Aguadulce. Fun all day.
Declared of tourist interest in 1964, Aguadulce condenses the other half of the tourists visiting Roquetas de Mar, but nevertheless, its characteristics are different from the Urbanization. Its proximity to the capital has significantly influenced the fact that many have decided to install here their place of residence. Facilities and living standards are unbeatable.
Tourism is mostly national, and visitors will find everything they need: health services, schools, shops, entertainment and leisure.
The promenade stretches along the beach of this core. Walking across it is a restorative activity.
The leisure and entertainment has encouraged that youth find in Aguadulce an ideal starting point for moments of fun meeting. The marina takes its usual business during the day, and at night becomes a point of nightlife. You can find bars, pubs and discos to dance and have fun until sunrise.
